WOLF CREEK HERITAGE MUSEUM NOTES
by Virginia Scott

MUSEUM HAPPENINGS

A routine week with planning for our upcoming events and board meeting. We are also looking for prizes for our bingo night. If you have an item you would like to donate, please bring it by or call the museum to arrange pickup. The evening promises to be fun so if you like Bingo, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 27 at 7 pm. We will closed it down by 9 pm. I remember bingo nights in Darrouzett and always enjoyed them.

Sunday, May 7 is our Tea Party at 2 pm so wear your hat and bring your favorite cup for a fun afternoon.

See you soon and I will report on all the events next week.

HISTORICAL MUSINGS

We have heard about a flour mill in Higgins but have never been able to find out its location. I have found an article in the May 4, 1916 issue of the limelight that reads: "there is no flour better than SNOW WHITE, try a sack and be convinced. If it is not BETTER than any foreign flour, your merchant will redeem it at cost to you. One sack will convince you - try it. Sold by all merchants, - Gerlach-Higgins Milling Company"

Any guesses on where it was?
