WOLF CREEK HERITAGE MUSEUM NOTES by Virginia Scott MUSEUM HAPPENINGS It seems that computer problems are a daily problem these days. My computer email is deleting or not showing emails so if you have sent me an email lately, be patience while we try to fix the problems. We have been having good work days, the geneology work in our reference room is a buzzing these days with lots of new information coming in. Remember if you need information concerning your family come in to review our references. There is also work going on in the work area with inventory progressing well. If we don't check the collection every 4 to 6 months boxes get miss placed, etc. do to the activity and movement of items. We are also trying to plan for new items to display. If you have an idea for an exhibit about our county let us know. The museum is a great place to spend the dog days of summer. REMINDERS: Our fall fundraiser will be coming up soon in October and we need door prizes, all items welcome HISTORICAL MUSINGS We recently found an old newspaper clipping without a date concerning two skeletons found on the Truitt farm southeast of Higgins. It was thought to be victims of "Two guns" Jim Kevder. Sheriff Tarbox was sheriff at the time. We will be researching for more information but anyone has information about the event let us know. Have a good week and stay cool. |
